Grasslands Flower Co. is a small floral practice based in Calgary, Alberta. It began as a way of staying close to the landscape — to the grasses, the seasons, and the quiet shifts that happen over time.
I grew up in the Alberta Grasslands, where my love for flowers started early. Not in gardens, but in what was already growing — wild, wind-shaped, and often overlooked. My background is in painting, but over time my work moved toward living materials — flowers, plants, and the spaces they inhabit. For the past decade, I’ve worked as a florist and gardener. My approach is guided by what is available, what is local, and what feels in rhythm with the time of year.
The practice
Grasslands Flower Co. was created to celebrate the beauty of the wild and natural world. Work rooted in the changing seasons and inspired by the landscapes of the prairies—lush, abundant, and a little untamed.
We approach each design as a composition, thoughtfully considering colour, texture, movement, and form. The result is floral work that feels natural yet intentional, echoing the wild beauty of the places that inspire us.
